On October 18th, TROtt was honoured to host an educational workshop by renowned Para-Dressage Coach, Mary Longden. The clinic focused on bridging the gap through the teaching of transferable skills from grass roots therapeutic riding to more advanced riding.
One key take-away Mary taught TROtt instructors was how to divide the rider’s proficiency of a skill into 4 phases of learning, and how to coach a skill versus teaching it – re-visiting and repeating are key! See the photos from the workshop below.
